BOOK REVIEW: Man on Three Dimensions by Kenneth E. Hagin

A Friend of mine (Teepee) sent me this book and told me to read it, though I’ve been looking for books that will answer some of my questions when it comes to Man as a spirit being. I’m also admonishing you guys to please read this book and you will expose to so many things.

In the book, the Author Kenneth E. Hagin  (of blessed memory) made us to understand that man has a Spirit, Soul and Body, I’m sure will you will agree with him, he gave the definition of man using these three sentences that man is Spirit that has Soul and lives in the Body,  he now furthered by saying there is different between Spirit and Soul because most people think the Spirit and the Soul are the same, where as they are not.  In Heb. 4:12 “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit . . . .” If they were the same, they could not be divided. If they were the same, Paul would not have said, “… I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (I Thess. 5:23).
The author first, brief us man’s three fold natures;
Spirit: The dimension of man which deals with the spiritual realm. The part of man that knows God
Soul:  The dimension of man which deals with the mental realm. Man’s intellect. The sensibilities and will. The part that reasons and thinks.
Body: The dimension of man which deals with the physical realm. The house in which we live.
When my friend and I were discussing on this topic I told him something, that before we can fully utilize these three folds we must feed them accordingly, but most of us have only focused on the Body alone forgetting to feed the soul by reading, thinking/reasoning, meditating and doing things that will build our intellectuals same to spirit, as a Christian we can only feed the spirit by exercising the spiritual things like praying, fasting and so on.
From the point the author gave, he said we only communicate to God through one of these folds which is the Spirit because God himself is Spirit. I can go on and on to tell you things I learnt from this book because I really do. The book is not much for those of us that don’t like to read lengthy books; it is about 30 pages that have 6 chapters. The last chapter has questions and answers that you need to know, questions like:
How would you describe the appearance of man’s spirit? How does it compare with his body? Before the new birth, is there a spirit in man? Is the spirit renewed or re-created? The Bible says we are a new creation. Is this a re-creation? And so on.
However the book has volume two titled the Human Spirit which is also superb I will review that later just stay connected.
I’m begging you guys to please get the book and read because that book is light!
