110 girls were abducted at Government Girls Science and Technology located in Dapchi, Borno state, northern Nigeria. 105 girls were released a month after the abduction.
Excluding Leah Sharibu who refuses to denounce her faith for been Christian.
Due to this the church of ECWA where her parents worship organized a prayer meeting to secure the release and protection for Lean Sharibu.
The president of the country Mohammadu Buhari promised to secure the release of other girls including Leah Sharibu.
Rebacca, the mother of the girl reminded the president of his promise
“They sent three ministers to my house promising that my daughter will be released and now, it is a year and my daughter is not home yet. Since she left, I and my family have been devastated and my heart is full of sorrow,” Rebecca said.
Senior Pastor of ECWA, Yola, Fidelis Saul, added: “Buhari’s government must display impartiality because they successfully secured the release of other girls but refused to secure Leah’s because of her faith.
“We organised this prayer meeting to ask for God’s protection and deliverance for Leah because we believe God can save her from the hands of the wicked.”
Her father said he only interacts with her daughter in his dreams.
They are just promising, promising, promising, promising, but, I see nothing on ground. I am even confused now. All the family is in confusion now.”
