Lack of focus has make people to major in minor and minor in major, I need to remind you that this life is full of a lot of activities, you are the one to choose the one you want to intermingle with or else you will be carried away by the atmosphere of different happenings around the world.
Just only you can’t be everywhere at the same time even if you have super power. As well as you can’t do everything at the same time that is exactly why you need focus. Because focus people are identify with something. When you hear their names, one thing must strike your mind. For example, if mention Jesus the next thing you connect it to is ‘Saviour’ (Messiah). You know why? It is because he had a focus and that is what we can identify him with. Likewise Moses, you think about children of Israel. Even on this planet Earth, when you hear Bill Gate, you think about Microsoft among others.
Focus people don’t do good things, they do the right things, because something can be good and might not be right but there is no how it will be right and not be good. Philippians 4:8 says “Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.”
A focus person does not see obstacles rather you see it as stepping stone for a better height just like hurdle marathon race.
To be focus, you need to look at the future. Proverbs 4:25 says “Let your eyes look directly ahead And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you.” If you are not pursuing something, something will definitely pursue you, to be at the safer end you need to purse something and there is no way you want to keep pursue at something without focusing on the end result which is future. A race runner won’t look back at what he has achieved nor respond to comment from the audience, rather set the vision on the tape, the finishing line, that is the future to be focused on. Like what Paul said in Philippians 3:14 “I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus”.
To be focus, you need to avoid distractions, like I said this life is full of activities, if you are not focused, trust me you will be distracted. Understand that distractions are side attractions seeking your attention, stopping you from getting to your future.
To be focus, you need to keep right people around you because when wrong people leave your life, wrong things leave you too. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 15:33 “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.”
Never forget that you lose focus when you allow wrong ambition mix with your vision. Even Jesus to avoided this in John 6: 14-15 14 Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world. 15 When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.
By the time people see you thriving on that path, there are enough evidences to show for it just like in the case of Jesus, several advises will be trooping in from different people, you have to be wise and remain focus to know what is good for you or else you will be distracted.
Never forget that focus can be channeled negatively or positively but right focus last longer.
