– Pastor Bimbo Animashaun

It’s not true that it’s VERY DIFFICULT to find good marriage partners in our time. It depends on the direction that you’re looking at.

Making that assertion in the context of the church family is an indictment on the very essence of the Christian life.

When a Pastor tells his congregation that good husband or wife materials are very scarce in his congregation, then he has technically rubished his labour in ministry.
There are many Christians who believe that today, to get a husband material or wife material is a tug of war.

But this is a myth and fallacy. When we come to a point where we cannot vouch for our young men and women in church, then we have failed in discipleship.

I agree that there could be some believers who haven’t renewed their minds with the Word to influence their behaviour.

On the flip side however, there are THOUSANDS and MILLIONS of brothers and sisters in the Body of Christ who are great husband and wife materials.
Stop thinking that it’s not easy to get a good wife because of your interpretation of this scripture:

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
It’s not saying that you can’t find a virtuous woman but that a virtuous woman is a pearl of an inestimable value.
Bear in mind that as at the time that this portion of Scripture was written, the Church was not born yet.

But now, the Church is born, filled with born again, Holy Ghost-filled, tougue-talking, vision-driven, and character-formed brothers and sisters every where.
You just go “pick” one of them as led by the Spirit. Many of them are in your environment; many of them are in your church, and they’re not sinners, neither are they bad eggs.

By God’s Grace, I didn’t get my wife in a CLUB but in a CHURCH – in the church, and we keep rolling together in love and in the Holy Ghost without stress. Glory to God!!!

The Apostle John said that the young men in the church of his time were spiritually strong and God’s Word abode in them.

1 JOHN 2:14
I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

Nobody can tell me that there are no husband materials here.

  • Strong
  • The Word of God abides in you.
  • You have overcome the wicked one.

Mehn!!! That’s a deep one!!!
Somebody said, “But they may not be romantic”. That’s not true!!!
It says very clearly, “the Word of God abides in you”, so they’re governed by the TOTALITY of God’s Word – they know what to do in every situation.

Then someone else said, “There are many daughters of Jezebel in church. So one has to be very careful so that one doesn’t enter one chance bus”.

Well, I can’t find that in the New Testament. On the other hand, the Word of God describes New Testament sisters as “DAUGHTERS OF SARAH” – 1 Pet.3:6, not “DAUGHTERS OF JEZEBEL”.

Get your mind renewed beloved. If we’re talking about a CLUB, then we can say that good husband and wife materials are VERY SCARCE, but if we’re talking about the church, then there are MANY HUSBAND AND WIFE PRODUCTS here, despite those amongst us who have unrenewed minds.
Don’t rob yourself of the marital blessing that God has ordained for you.

If you’re personally convinced that you’re a good marriage partner, then know for sure that there are many others in your shoes, hence the Church produces great husband and wife materials, and no apology to the devil about this.

Therefore lift up your eyes and see in the Holy Ghost!
I hope this makes our weekend Sirs and Mas?
