Never receive A PROPHET in the name of A PASTOR except he carries the calling of A PASTOR too.
Never receive A TEACHER in the name of AN EVANGELIST except he carries the calling of AN EVANGELIST too.
It’s important for ministers not to allow people to put pressure on them such that they minister outside of their measure of grace.
When you look at the Scriptures, you discover that they are written with unmistakable clarity and accuracy.
God will not use past tense where He’s supposed to use present tense and He will not use present tense where He wants to use future tense.
By the same token, our Lord Jesus Christ, during His earthly ministry, didn’t speak for fun; He spoke deliberately and intentionally.
For instance, He said in the Book of Matthew:
He that RECEIVETH A PROPHET IN THE NAME OF A PROPHET shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.
Notice He didn’t say to receive A PROPHET as AN APOSTLE, AN EVANGELIST, A PASTOR or A TEACHER.
No, He said we’re to receive A PROPHET in his PROPHETIC OFFICE. The same principle applies to other ministry gifts.
We receive AN APOSTLE as AN APOSTLE.
We receive AN EVANGELIST as AN EVANGELIST.
We receive A PASTOR as A PASTOR.
We receive A TEACHER as A TEACHER.
This fundamental principle of ministry helps the minister and also the people of God to manage expectations well.
A minor class of exception to this principle is when a minister represents a blend or multiplicity of ministry gifts, say he’s an Apostle, an Evangelist and a Teacher at the same time in the case of Paul – 2 Tim.1:11.
Even with that, a minister needs to be sensitive to the anointing that is upon him AT THE MOMENT and the people of God must also be trained such that they know when a man of God has shifted into another office of his while ministering.
That’s the balance here, and I am thoroughly convinced that a couple of ministers will experience that variety at the discretion of the Spirit sometimes.
The most important thing is to RECEIVE A MAN OF GOD IN HIS OFFICE, so that expectations on both sides can be well managed.
For instance, we know enough not to receive a commercial bus driver in the name of a pilot and we don’t receive a lawyer in the name of a doctor.
Can you imagine receiving a commercial bus driver in the name of a pilot or receiving a capenter in the name of a barber?
There will of course be fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 🔥🔥 on the mountain!!!
I nearly got myself into trouble one day when I received a motor parts seller in the name of a panelbeater.
He nearly damaged the bumber of my car. What a panelbeater would ordinarily fix for 10 to 15 minutes, the beloved bro was on it for over 1 hour, sweating like a pregnant mouse without making any headway until I got to know that he wasn’t a panelbeater.
There’s TOO MUCH SANCTIFIED SENSE in the instructions of Scriptures if we follow them.
Receive a ministry gift in his ministry office. So when a teacher for instance starts expounding the Word for hours, you won’t say that the Word is too much.
When a Prophet starts calling out cases, you won’t say he’s just displaying showmanship.
Like I said, the balance is that a minister can stand in more than one office and the gifts of the Spirit are also supernatural tools for all ministers and believers.
However, we must learn to discern which office or realm a minister is ministering from per time so that for both the minister and the people of God, expectations can be well managed and the Body of Christ can rise strong in power to fulfil her Kingdom mandate in this end-time.
Jesus, the Head of the Church is setting things in order and directing the activities of His Body in this present hour. We can’t do things anyhow; divine protocol must be followed!
The stakes for us are very high as ministers of the last days.
May the Lord help us all!
Trust this is a blessing Sirs and Mas?
Have a fabulous weekend!!!
