After you have prayed over a challenge and its seems there is no change, praise is the next thing you need to switch to. Philippians 4:6, Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
In fact that scripture made us to understand that your prayer is incomplete without backing it up with thanksgiving. So if you are tendering a request to God, lets thanksgiving rap it up!
Understand that, thanksgiving is the highest expression of faith, appreciating God for answers prayer even before the manifestation. Colossians 2:7 says Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
So being established in faith is by abounding in thanksgiving, I discussed in one of the series on this topic that you can overcome challenges through faith which is very valid but the truth is that thanksgiving is actually needed in achieving that. I tell you at times your faith may want to fail, fade and shake but what will keep you firm is thanksgiving, the strength of sustaining your faith is drawn from your thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving also help you to secure the presence of God, Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. Psalms 100:4. This is what will help you to gain entrance to the presence of God and when you are in the presence of God all your challenges are being solved, then you become victorious. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. Psalms 95:2
Another thing thanksgiving will do, is that it will help to begin to see abundance even in the midst of scarcity, you begin to see the way out. And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small. – Jeremiah 30:19.
Remember, that the glory of God is in His victory and if you are glorifying him, you experience the victory dimension of God which can only be possible after thanksgiving is offered.
Thanksgiving is a sacrifice you offer to God deeply from the altar of your heart and when it is accepted then things begin to turn around for your good. And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing. – Psalms 107:22
Now, could it be that you are still facing that challenge because you are yet to offer thanksgiving according to that Philippians 4:6? and also lets check Colossians 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
It is not enough for you to pray, your thanksgiving must be available if you really want to come out of that challenge victorious!
