[22] And he said, “All is well. My master has sent me, saying, ‘Indeed, just now two young men of the sons of the prophets have come to me from the mountains of Ephraim. Please give them a talent of silver and two changes of garments.'”[23] So Naaman said, “Please, take two talents.” And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of garments, and handed them to two of his servants; and they carried them on ahead of him.[24] When he came to the citadel, he took them from their hand, and stored them away in the house; then he let the men go, and they departed.
[25] Now he went in and stood before his master. Elisha said to him, “Where did you go, Gehazi?” And he said, “Your servant did not go anywhere.”[26] Then he said to him, “Did not my heart go with you when the man turned back from his chariot to meet you? Is it time to receive money and to receive clothing, olive groves and vineyards, sheep and oxen, male and female servants?
[27] Therefore the leprosy of Naaman shall cling to you and your descendants forever.” And he went out from his presence leprous, as white as snow.Gehazi had lied to the anointed servant of God. He had stained his integrity. He had gone back to General Naaman that his master sent to to come and get back what he had refused. The integrity may have somehow been doubted in the heart of the Syrian General. Gehazi had said his master sent him to go and collect one talent, the General had given him two talents of silver in two bags of money. He had collected he two bags of money and two changes of Raiment from the Syrian servants and hidden them away inside the house and went to stand before his master as if had just gone to the toilet and come back. But the Man of God was following him with his heart as he went to perpetrate his dubious acts.Elisha had asked: “Where did you go?”
He had replied with all audacity: “Your servant did not go anywhere”
Today, a lot of believers are filled with devilish audacity! Satanic emboldenment! They lavishly display the stupidity of Ananiah and Saphirah! They lie flagrantly in the presence of the Holy Spirit these days. Fake Ministers tell stories that never existed! They told stories of journeys they never made on the Lord’s altars!People give testimonies of things the Lord never did! On the Lord’s Altar!
People did robberies and bring the tithes before the Lord.
Government Officials stole public funds in Billions and out of the booties build magnificent church for the “Glory of the Lord” !
Prostitutes bringing proceeds of their “business” before the Lord and dropping into Offering bags for more “Open Heavens”!
Senior ministers of God collecting huge bribes from fellow Pastors to effect their transfer to more lucrative branches of the church!Church workers in immoral relationships within the church!
Church Choirs drenched in sexual drizzles and yet mesmerizing the congregation with their captivating “anointed Weekly songs and music”!
Ushers sponsoring their children in schools with stollen tithes and offerings and also paying tithes and offering from the Stolen Offerings and Tithes!
Generation of Gehazis……!From the story of Ananiah and Saphirah, you don’t lie before the Holy Spirit and go Scot-free. Though you may not slump and die as they did, YET GEHAZI NEVER SLUMPED AND DIED….but he lived for life with a Leprosy that never healed!
From the story of Judas Iscariot, you never steal from the Lord’s purse and go Scot-free, though Judas never slumped and died instantly, BUT HE NEVER LIVED TO ENJOY THAT MONEY HE STOLE. HE DIED ON THE LAND HE BOUGHT WITH THE PROCEED OF COVETOUSNESS.Judas Iscariot…! Ananiah and Saphirah…! Gehazi…! All belonged to the same Generation that never ended well duping the Lord and spoiling the Altar with the Proceeds of greediness, covetousness and robberies.
SUCH PEOPLE NEVER PARTAKE OF THE GLORY OF GOD AND THEY NEVER HAVE PORTIONS IN ANY DOUBLE ANOINTING OF THE LORD.
Such persons eventually receive from the Presence of the Lord “Some Leprosies and Infirmities and Afflictions” that had been cast away from some people who had been healed of the Lord.
What does this mean?Today, there are several atrocities found in the church of God. The fear of the Lord is fast departing from the heart of the people. People are emboldened to commit evils right in the presence of the Lord, without blinking an eye.
People becoming church members for business connections sake.
Church Members duping the church of millions and exiting the church to become rich elders in another church.Church Members collecting contract mobilization fees and never cared to do any thing because they know the church would not be interested in Police case.
I heard of people coming right to night vigils from harlot’s house and returning there after vigils. Pastors rising from bed of adultery minutes before mounting altars to preach. Big ministers of God being entertained with harlots in their hotel rooms ahead of crusades and conventions.EVIL BOLDNESS OF JUDAS AND GEHAZI!
BUT WHAT WAS THEIR END?
HOW DID THEY SPEND THEIR PROFITS?
ONE BECAME A LEPER, THE OTHER COMMITTED SUICIDE.
So, Evil Boldness against the LORD DOES NOT PAY AT ALL!
UNLESS YOU ARE READY TO END A LEAPER OR WRAP UP YOUR LIFE IN SUICIDE.
Proverbs 1:28-29,31 NKJV[28] “Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me.
[29] Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the LORD,
[31] Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way, And be filled to the full with their own fancies.
