Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the general overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, today reveals what you need to do daily if you don’t want to experience setback or defeat.
He firstly pointed out that it is a painful thing to be defeated most especially when you are a champion, because once you become a champion, people’s expectation from you will increase, and as a result of this, more attention will be drawn to you which includes the attention of your enemies too.
He also cited an example from the Bible using the book of Joshua7:1-5 which talks about the Children of Israel, who just recorded a victory over the great city of Jericho and were utterly defeated by a small village called Ai.
He said the defeat was an unexpected punch at their leader’s face, Joshua. Who later understood the reason why they were conquered by Ai after he sought the Lord.
However, the 79-year-old preacher said there is a lesson to be learnt from that story which is what you must do every day if you don’t want to experience a setback.
He said “It is important for children of God to engage in periodic self-examinations.
