So after my crying to the Holy Ghost, i asked, Sir how do I walk in the Spirit? Just like your know He replied me with these scriptures and explained what to do to me.
“If our minds are ruled by our desires, we will die. But if our minds are ruled by the Spirit, we will have life and peace.”
Romans 8:6 CEV
To walk in the Spirit you have to submit your mind to the leadership of the Spirit not your desires, your mind is created to follow and it follows only the leader you assign to it.
Many believers mess up because their mind (emotions, will, intellect) is not under the control of the Spirit. What determines the control is what you feed your mind with, many minds are starved of spiritual nutrition so they are not empowered to fight the cravings of the flesh when it comes.
The second scripture the Lord gave me is
“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.”
John 6:63 NKJV
The word of God is the real Spirit content, we walk in the flesh because we don’t walk in the word, the more our minds are focused on the word the weaker our flesh becomes, many only read the Bible they never walk in it.
To be able to mortify the deeds of the flesh you have to move beyond reading the Bible to walking in it, the same way great brands e.g @cocacola is visible everywhere so that when you are thirsty in traffic you think coke first because you see it everywhere so also the word must be everywhere around you.
To walk in the light of a particular word, you have to read it, memorize it, place it on stickers, print it on clothes, place it in your bathroom, see it everywhere till it becomes loud in your mind, e.g if you have anger, don’t just pray and quote Ecc 7:5 anger lies in the bosom of fools, print that word out, place it everywhere ensure you see it everywhere so when the issue arises in your heart, unconsciously you begin to say anger lies in the bosom of a fool, I am not a fool.
This is called the WORD WALK, you have to be practical in your approach.
Remember it’s a war.
I see a burning generation
