THE LANGUAGE THE FATHERS UNDERSTAND!!!

-Pastor Bimbo Animashaun

There’s a LANGUAGE the fathers understand, and that is HONOUR!!!
Please pay attention to this dear friend. A father may not understand English language, Yoruba language, Igbo language, Hausa language or any other language but EVERY FATHER UNDERSTANDS THE LANGUAGE OF HONOUR.

You see, HONOUR is the key to ACCESS. HONOUR determines FAVOUR and it also delivers you from HORROR.
In our lives, we have several fathers, namely:
* Spiritual Fathers
* Biological Fathers
* Foster Fathers
* Fathers In Law
* Professional Fathers
* Career Fathers
* Academic Fathers
* Etc.

Honour the fathers in your life. You see friend, HONOUR is not just a CULTURAL THING; it is SCRIPTURAL.
You don’t need to IMPRESS the fathers in your life; what you need do is to HONOUR them.
The Bible makes it abundantly clear that HONOUR IS A DUTY WE OWE THE FATHERS, and we know of course that the Scriptures cannot be broken – Jn.10:35.

MALACHI 1:6
A SON HONOURETH HIS FATHER, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?

EPHESIANS 6:1-3
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2 HONOUR THY FATHER AND MOTHER; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
Your FATHER is not a GUY; he’s your GUIDE. We need to show HONOUR to whom honour is due.

ROMANS 13:7
Render therefore to all their DUES: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; HONOUR TO WHOM HONOUR.

See, friend, you’re not doing the fathers any favour honouring them; it’s their DUE and it’s a wise son that pays his dues.
We young ministers need to take note of this fact. We owe the fathers a duty to HONOUR them.
Honour is the principle of greatness. Don’t go to any father to impress him or bamboozle him with your “revs” – it is an uncultured behavior.

No, always go to learn and show HONOUR massively in your HEART, in WORDS, in ACTIONS and also in SUBSTANCE.
You see, WHEN HONOUR GOES AHEAD OF YOU, FAVOUR WILL ALWAYS FOLLOW YOU.
HONOUR and FAVOUR are organically inseparable.
By God’s Grace, I have never gone to any of my fathers to showcase my knowledge or to impress them; I always go to learn, to drink and to connect, and it’s with the attitude of honour.

And it’s important you let them determine the pace of discussion, and paradventure you’re given opportunity to showcase your knowledge or potentials, DO IT WITH AN ATTITUDE OF HONOUR.
You don’t have to suffer many self-imposed limitations in ministry; the devil already has set some landmines on your road of destiny to cut your ministry short and you need to discern them.

It’s therefore not wise to compound issues for yourself in ministry by walking in dishonour.
Mark this friend; no matter how loaded you are in ministry, when you begin to insult the fathers, you have finished your ministry without starting.
Our generation needs to learn and master HONOUR IN MINISTRY, its practical dimensions and how to relate with fathers.
Friend, if anyone were to ask me seven keys to success and longevity in ministry, I would say:

1. Honour
2. Honour
3. Honour
4. Honour
5. Honour
6. Honour
7. Honour.
HONOUR is what all of us should learn, master and internalize because it determines the depth, breadth, length and height of our ministry.
May the Lord give us understanding.
Amen!
I trust this made little sense Sirs and Mas?
