1 Samuel 17:49-51a
49. Then David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone;
and he slung it and struck the Philistine in his forehead, so that the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth.
50. So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. But there was no sword in the hand of David.
51. Therefore David ran and stood over the Philistine, took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him, and cut off his head with it.

When David was determined to face the giant and glorify the God of Israel, king Saul offered him his full military armor, but the young man had a sharp discernment of the spirit and knew the royal, prestigious and attractive kingly outfit would do him harm rather than good. The armor would slow down his pace and make him an easy target of the giant. So he put it off and went to the war with the simple weapon The Lord had tested him with while he was with the sheep in the jungles. With these simple weapons of the stone and the sling, he had protected his family sheep from lion and bear.

So, he confronted the giant with the stone and the sling and struck him in his forehead. The great Philistine fell and hit the ground with the stone stuck in his bony forehead. The giant fell facedown. Then, watch this:

1 Samuel 17:50-51
50. So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone,
and struck the Philistine and killed him. But there was no sword in the hand of David.
51. Therefore David ran and stood over the Philistine, took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him, and cut off his head with it.

And when the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they fled
When the giant hit the ground, the Philistines who stood on the mountain afar off had not yet believed that their giant had died. He could still stand on their feet. So, both Israel and Philistines were still watching. Only something would prove the victory. WHEN THE HEAD IS OFF.

But stone and sling could not cut off a head. And David had no sword in his hand. There was only one sword available there at the spot of the battle – The Sword of Goliath! So, David ran and stood over the giant, drew out his sword from its sheath, and with all his might, landed the big sword on the neck. Only the Sword of a giant could easily cut off the head of a giant. Then, David raised up the severed head of the Philistine’s giant.

When the Philistines saw this, they turned back with a fright and fled the scene…Military Generals to the lowest rank! When the Israelite army saw the head of the giant raised up, they screamed with joy and trooped into the valley to pursue the feeing Philistines, striking them down from behind as they fled to wherever their legs could take them. IT WAS THE HEAD THAT SHOWED THE VICTORY.
Now. David rejected the sword and the armor of king Saul when it could have caused him a great hinderance. But at appropriate time, The Lord made available for him a greater and more glorious sword – The Sword of a Giant!

Feature some up-growing drama ministers in a major role in an elaborate gospel movie, and they would choose to turn themselves into movie star gods.
Some years ago, a drama minister always come into my office to beg me to remember him in any of our movies. He would tell me he is ready to give his time for any role we would give him. He would call me and come into my office, begging me not to forget him. Then, after some times, we were to have a major movie serial. We felt The Lord wanting us to call him for the lead role, since his heart was prepared. So we invited him on location and it took us a space of four film location schedules to conclude the long movie serial. It was a brilliant work and he acted very well with all his heart.

Shortly later, the movie came up on several TV channels and became very popular all over. Consequently, therefore, his face became very well known and many christian film producers began to invite him for various roles. Then, he began to grant interviews and began to behave pompously on film locations.

Next, he began to give various ridiculous conditions for coming to appear in movies, like asking some amount of money to be deposited in his bank account before he could agree to feature in movies, demanding for personal hotel room, and asking to be transported on to film locations and so on and so forth. He chose to shine before his time. He chose to parade himself with the armor of the king that would slow down his pace and expose him easily to enemies’ assaults. He chose to walk like the stars of this world, which do not usually last long in the sky before they sink back into obscurity.
Where are the entertainment stars of yester-years?

Where are those Acclaimed Screen Gods and Goddesses of Yester-years?
Do you know that when David rejected the armor of king Saul and refused to shine early, so that he might be focused on the victory, he got the victory and EVENTUALLY CARRIED THE ARMOR OF GOLIATH THE GIANT?

1 Samuel 17:54
And David took the head of the Philistine and brought it to Jerusalem,
but he put his armor in his tent.
A sister in The Lord came to me few years ago and demanded to write my autobiography. After a lot of pressure I obliged. So, we sat down and we spent long hours as she interviewed me and I answered several questions from my childhood days to the start of the ministry. After a long time, she left with an arrangement to continue later. then, over the night, my spirit was seriously troubled. And I began to ask myself, “Bro. Mike, what have you achieved yet that you want to start writing an autobiography of yourself?” I was not yet fifty year old at the time.

I was seriously troubled over the night, that I have not achieved much in life and someone was about to start writing my autobiography. I could not wait to see the morning when I called the sister back into my house. I told her to bring all what she wrote and the cassette tapes where the voice was recorded. She thought I wanted to continue the interview. I first collected all the note she wrote and all the cassette tapes, then, I patiently explained to her that the Spirit of The Lord had not given me the peace about the project. I begged her that I would not want my autobiography to be written yet. She was very sad but she understood me and she left. What have I achieved yet? The harvest is plentous.

So many nations I desire to reach and plant the flag of evangelical drama and movies before The Lord calls me home.
I desire gospel movies in Chinese language. I want the Lord to use me to make gospel movies in Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Swahili, Italian languages. My eyes are set for the World Drama missions. I want to set the Old Rugged Cross against all those Rotten “Woods” in the movie industries.
I have received many awards in the past, I received awards in Nigeria and abroad on gospel films.

After all these, these awards became distasteful to me, because I began to see it as serious distractions from my heavenly visions and earthly missions. I CHOSE NOT TO MAKE MOVIES FOR EARTHLY AWARDS BUT FOR HEAVENLY REWARDS. I did away with the distractions and faced making movies for souls.
Which One would you prefer? the Sword of the King or the Sword of the Giant? I advice you therefore to patiently wait for the Lord’s timing of manifestations.
