“Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,” (Matthew 2: 1)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judah. According to Micah 5 vs. 2, Bethlehem was among the least of the cities in Judah. Bethlehem was devoid of the ambience and royalty of Jerusalem, it didn’t look like greatness could come out of it, it didn’t have as much qualifications as Jerusalem which was the city of kings, Bethlehem was too small, but Jesus came out of it. It was not the biggest, but it brought forth the greatest of all men.
Friend, you may not be the biggest, but your results will be the greatest.
You may not have all the resources and qualifications that others around you have, but God will shock them by making you produce results that no one believed you could produce. You may not have the big opportunities that others have, you may not have the chances they have, you may not be anywhere near their high profiles, but God will make the difference.
If Jesus could be born in Bethlehem, devoid of all the trappings of royalty that could be found in Jerusalem, then get set, you will have your great results come out of your own ‘Bethlehem’. The ‘Jerusalems’ of this world will not stop your greatness from manifesting. The ‘Jerusalems’ of this world will not take your place when it is time for heaven to remember you for good. Your background will not limit your results.
Don’t despise your ‘Bethlehem’; don’t despise your small ideas, small career, small opportunities, small responsibilities, small doors that opened to you, small clients, etc. God says, the great can emerge from your small; greatness is loading from your small corner; amazing results are set to emerge from that little Bethlehem that may not look like a Jerusalem.
If God be for you, nothing shall start small and remain small in your life.
Job 8: 7 says: “Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.”
Declare With Me: My ‘Bethlehem’ will not limit my greatness, in Jesus’ name!
