HOW TO LAST IN THE PROPHETIC!!!

(The Wisdom Key)

– Pastor Bimbo Animashaun

You don’t need to be a PROPHET to be “PROPHETIC”, yet a prophet will be prophetic by the configuration of his calling.
The prophetic is the ability to bring eternity to time by flowing on divine frequency through the power of the Holy Spirit.

The prophetic borders on the eyes that see, the ears that hear, the heart that perceives and ultimately supernatural knowing by the Spirit.
The prophetic is the leverage of the believer in the Holy Ghost, for under the Old Testament, they were led by prophets – Heb.1:1, Hos.12:13, but in the New Testament, we are led by the Spirit – Rm.8:14, Gal.5:18.

Now having said that, you need to realize that because of the infiltration of the human nature, emotions, sentiments and temperaments, many people who are prophetic but not well grounded in the Word and in the way of the Spirit, tend to mix things up – they muddle up the waters.
But you see, among other keys to lasting in the prophetic, here is a major one – YOU MUST LEARN TO MASTER YOUR EMOTIONS.

Emotional people cannot last in the prophetic. By “emotional” I mean people who are constantly moved by feelings and outward evidences and not by the Spirit.
If they feel good, they will prophesy good stuffs, but if their feelings aren’t good at the moment, they say something else in line with their mood.
You see, we’re not led by FEELINGS; we’re led by THE SPIRIT.

Feelings and emotions are fickle but the Holy Spirit is eternally constant.
To also last in the prophetic, you don’t speak based on outward evidences or appearances but by the prompting of the Spirit.
If you were to go by what you see in the physical, there are many things that the Holy Spirit will prompt you to say that you won’t say. Why? You’ll wonder how they will come to pass.
That’s why real prophets are not MOVED by EMOTIONS but by THE HOLY GHOST.

Consider this scripture:
2 PETER 1:20-21
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but HOLY MEN OF GOD SPAKE AS THEY WERE MOVED BY THE HOLY GHOST.
Were they MOVED by emotions? No! They were MOVED by the Spirit.
Those who are moved by emotions are spiritually immature. As a matter of fact, emotional people are unstable in the prophetic.

Real prophets don’t look at people’s faces to determine what they will say; they follow the prompting of the Spirit.
In the Old Testament, that was one of the warnings that God gave Prophet Jeremiah – that he should not look at people’s faces to determine what he would say.
JEREMIAH 1:17
Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: BE NOT DISMAYED AT THEIR FACES, lest I confound thee before them.

That’s a major criterion in the prophetic friends – don’t look at human face to determine what you say.
Some of the Old Testament prophets must have looked foolish before the people as they prophesied.
The people must have mocked them because some of the things they said were completely way out and more so, many of the things they said didn’t come to pass in the generation of the first recipients but centuries later, so it’s not impossible that some of these prophets could have been tagged fake prophets.

But you see; they weren’t moved by EMOTIONS; they were moved by THE SPIRIT.
Consider one of them here – Prophet Micah who prophesied that the Messiah would come from Bethlehem, the most despised city in Judah as at the time of that prophecy, yet he spoke by the Spirit and the rest they say, is history.

MICAH 5:2
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
That’s AUDACIOUS. I wonder how those living in that generation would perceive this man of God when he said this, yet centuries later, it came to pass, as we later found out in the Book of Matthew.

MATTHEW 2:1-6
1 NOW WHEN JESUS WAS BORN IN BETHLEHEM OF JUDAEA in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.
5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,
6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

Did you see that friend? Our anchor scripture says HOLY MEN OF GOD WERE MOVED BY THE HOLY GHOST – 2 Pet.1:21; they weren’t moved by EMOTIONS.
By God’s Grace and Mercy, I flow constantly in the prophetic and time will fail me to go into giving much examples, but let me just give two here.
Recently, I was praying for one of our women in church who was believing God for a change of job.
She had applied to the State Civil Service and it appeared as if the people at the helm of affairs were playing pranks.

As I began to pray for her, I kept hearing in the Spirit, “6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6”. I kept hearing the number 6 but God didn’t tell me what it meant as at the time of prayer.
So, I told her and her husband, “I’m hearing 6 in the Spirit but God didn’t tell me the implication. Whatever it means and represents for you, I pronounce it on you now in Jesus’ Name”.
Friend, to the Glory of God, the woman with her husband walked up to me later and testified that from the day of the prayer, she got the job IN SIX DAYS exactly – SIX DAYS without fail. Glory to God!
Now here is the lesson; I didn’t get the meaning of “6” for them at that time, so I could have assumed something else and miss God.

I could have said, “Thus saith the Lord, you’re to sow a seed of 6 thousand naira to me” or “You’re to go on dry fast for 6 days” or “You’re to sweep the church auditorium for 6 months”.
Now there’s absolutely nothing wrong in sowing into Grace; there’s absolutely nothing wrong in fasting and there’s absolutely nothing wrong in taking care of church auditorium – these are things people should be encouraged to do.

We can tell people to do them by the instruction of Scripture without necessarily giving it a prophetic coloration, but if the Spirit moves in that direction, so be it – THAT’S MY POINT!
That’s how many prophets get into error. You
must always allow God to give you the information and to also interpret it for you.
At another time, I was speaking for a precious son in ministry when suddenly I came under the prophetic anointing and I said, “The Lord says the prodigal sons and daughters of the ministry are coming back home”.
Mehn, if you don’t want to be called “crazy” by the people moved by the flesh, then you’re not ready to flow in the prophetic.

Thank God, I said that to a Spirit-fiilled congregation. Friends, to the Glory of God, the man of God called me later and said that since the day that word was released, many sons and daughters who had left the ministry began to come back, and some whose exit was up to two years came back.
Glory to the Lamb of God. By His Grace, many testimonies abound as a credible testament to the prophetic grace.
The lesson I believe anyone who will last in the prophetic should learn is to MASTER THEIR EMOTIONS.
Remember, your EMOTIONS ARE FICKLE but THE HOLY SPIRIT IS ETERNALLY CONSTANT.

As you learn to MASTER YOUR EMOTIONS, you will see the prophetic anointing increase upon your life and your life and ministry will bring honour and Glory to the Name of the Lord.
I trust this made little sense Sirs and Mas?
Stay Blessed!! Stay Lifted!!!
Shalom!!!
