WHAT WAS JOB’S OFFENSE?

Job 1:1,8 NKJV

[1] There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was BLAMELESS and UPRIGHT and one WHO FEARED GOD and SHUNNED EVIL.

[8] Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”

This was what triggered the attacks against Job.
– So the Powers of Darkness were permitted to test him and put him on Trials.
He was tested for his Uprightness.
He was tried for his Godliness.
Calamities fell upon him to test his loyalties to God.
Hear What The Devil said to God:

Job 1:9 NKJV
[9] So Satan answered the LORD and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing?
This is the Weakness of many who are following The Lord: THEY ARE FOLLOWING GOD AND FEAR GOD FOR SOMETHING.

Some People are not Fearing GOD for Nothing.
Some Fear God and are Following GOD so that they could prosper.
– Some fear God so that their Lives and family could be Protected.
– Some are Fearing God and Following Him so that they will not be in want and lack.
– Some are following God and walking with Him, so that their Business Could Prosper.

WHY DO YOU FEAR GOD AND FOLLOWING HIM ?
Is it that the Devil know you very well that if any of these things are touched and taken from you, YOU WILL CURSE GOD TO HIS FACE AND BACKSLIDE AND YOUR FAITH AND YOUR LOYALTY WILL BE SHAKEN?
Satan challenged God:

Job 1:11 NKJV
[11] But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”
There are many Christians that can not pass this tests.
CAN THE DEVIL CHALLENGE GOD OVER YOUR LIFE.
Can this Loyalty and Faith of yours be tested?
Can God boast of tour Faith and Loyalty before Satan?
Can the Angels Trust You?

Job 1:12 NKJV
[12] And the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.

GOD HAVE MERCY!
Can God permit the Devil to touch your Business, Welfare, and Finances?
Can God and the Angels stand by and watch your Reactions to Tests and Trials?

The Devil touched Job’s Family, and all his Children died in one day.
The Devil touched his Business, and all his Business and Wealth collapsed in one day.

He lost in One Day all he had spent years to gather.
He went from Grace to Grass in One Day AND HE DID NOT KNOW THAT IT WAS A GAME.
HE DID NOT KNOW THAT IT WAS A CHALLENGE BETWEEN SATAN AND GOD.

Would you disappoint God if the Devil touch your Business?
Would you Curse God if the Devil Challenge GOD over your Life?
If your promotion is denied again after several years, to check your faith and loyalty to God, would you still be standing for God.

That reminds me of the Story of one God fearing Priest Zechariah and Elizabeth:

Luke 1: 5-7 NKJV
[6] And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
[7] But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both well advanced in years.

THEY WERE RIGHTEOUS BEFORE GOD, WALKING IN ALL THE COMMANDMENT AND ORDNANCES OF GOD,
But

THEY HAD NO CHILD.
Because ELIZABETH WAS BARREN….
You love the Lord,
You serve the Lord
You are fervent for the Lord
You are faithful to God
You pay heavy OFFERINGS
And you are a Heavy TITHER
You Fast and Pray so often
You are Godly and maintained your Integrity in your Office and Works.
YET…..YET….

ALL THESE DO NOT SHIELD YOU FROM THE TEST AND TRAIL OF YOUR FAITH AND LOYALTY TO GOD.
The Devil is angered by all these Qualities and You are shielded by God Himself, BUT THE HEAVEN CAN BE CHALLENGED TO PUT YOU TO TEST TO SHAME THE DEVIL.
CAN YOU STAND LOYAL TO GOD IN THE FACE OF TESTS AND TRIALS?
May we take our stand when our faith and loyalty to God are being tested by the Devil!

May we not disappoint God when the Devil challenge God because of our Love and loyalty and faith in Him.
May we be standing strong in the face of Test and Trials.
