Matthew 6:1-4 (AMP)
“TAKE CARE not to do your good deeds publicly or before men, in order to be seen by them; otherwise you will have no reward [reserved for and awaiting you] with and from your Father Who is in heaven.
2 Thus, whenever you give to the poor, do not blow a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites in the synagogues and in the streets like to do, that they may be recognized and honored and praised by men. Truly I tell you, they have their reward in full already.
3 But when you give to charity, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing,
4 So that your deeds of charity may be in secret; and your Father Who sees in secret will reward you openly.”
I was going through the Word of God this Morning and I came to this passage and my eyes suddenly opened as if I have never seen this passage before.
Is it me that is not seeing correctly
Or I am the one seeing men as trees?
I tried to check the same passage from different Versions and it got more clearer to me.
Many many of us have missed it on this ground.
Ah! We are in serious danger!
We are in terrible trouble!
I saw where many of us Ministers of God have made serious mistakes in our Donations and Givings to the Poor and Needy.
Going by this Word of Jesus Christ,
It means many Givings and Donations to the Poor and the Orphanage Homes and Widows have merely been a terrible Waste of time and Resources.
A Colossal Waste of Money in the Lord’s presence.
There are no Heavenly Rewards for the Millions spent to give the Poor and the Needy materials and Relief Items.
All those Hundreds of Bags of Rice and plastic kegs of vegetable oils and mats and hundreds boxes of Indomies have not attracted any Heavenly Rewards even though the people have been fed and happy.
Many of those Hige donations to the Poor masses by The Church and Ministries and Missions have not been noticed by God, because of this Terrible mistake
Why?
Because, it was done in the full glare of the Video and Photo Cameras for the Public World
Many of us carry truck loads of Relief items to give to the Poor and the Needy and we carry the Photographers and Videographers along with us to show the World what we are doing, Jesus says in Matthew 6:1-4 that we may have fed the needy and the poor, but Heaven has taken NO NOTICE of it and everything had ended right there on the spot, no Eternal Rewards or Heavenly gains would be reserved for such good acts.
THEN IT DAWN ON ME THAT THE SOCIAL MEDIA WORLD HAS SERIOUSLY DAMAGED OUR ETERNAL REWARDS FOR MANY GOOD CHARITIES WE HAVE DONE.
We would spend millions to load trailers and trucks with Relief Items from the Church and carry them to the Needy and the Poolr and the Fatherless and Motherless homes ONLY TO GO ALONG WITH THE CAMERA PEOPLE THAT WOULD RECORD THEM FOR OUR TELEVISION PROGRAMS AND PUBLIC BROADCAST.
This Word of Jesus Christ in Matthew 6:1-4 is a serious food for thought for many of us in the Ministry of Reconciliationsand Revival of the End time.
The World could no longer differentiate between Us and the Politicians anymore.
It is the Politicians the give Reliefs to their Constituencies and go about with cameramen and Photographers for public knowledge for the sake of Re-elections or Party Promotion , but What has that got to do with the Principle of the Kingdom.
The Rules of the Kingdom are completely different from the Rules of the Political World.
YOU WOULD HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN THE SOCIAL MEDIA APPLAUSE AND YOUR HEAVENLY REWARDS WHEN GIVING YOUR DONATIONS TO THE POOR AND THE NEEDY.
If you Choose to do it Secretly, no Problem.
And if you Choose to Sound an Allarm to the NTA and the CNN to follow you to where you are giving a whole Trailer loads of Rice and fabrics to the Widows and Orphanages, No Problems, you have to weigh your options and abide by the most beneficial.
BUT WHY WOULD I SPEND MILLIONS TO BLESS THE NEEDY AND DELIBERATELY JEOPARDIZE MY HEAVENLY REWARDS FOR IT.
I know, today almost everyone has a camera in his pocket, that if you don’t even go with Cameramen, people would take the information right on the Spot and broadcast it, I know it.
You may not be able to prevent that.
I am talking about becoming intentional and deliberate in your broadcast of your good deeds. And God knows every intent of your heart.
MAY OUR REWARDS IN HEAVEN NOT BE TURNED TO DRY GRASS AND STUBBLES AND HIGHLY INFLAMMABLE MATERIALS.
May our Works in Heaven be Unconsummable Gold, Silvers and Precious Stones in the End of Time.
