KEEP PUSHING

“On hearing this, Jesus slipped away privately by boat to be alone. But when the crowds discovered he had sailed away, they emerged from all the nearby towns and followed him on foot.” (Matthew 14: 13 TPT)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
When Jesus departed from the city upon hearing of the death of John the Baptist, the whole idea was to go and be alone. It was a private movement into the place of solitude and quietude. Jesus wanted to be alone.

Notice that when the multitudes showed up, having travelled on foot, Jesus had compassion on them and began to heal the sick. The pursuit of the multitude changed Jesus’ agenda. Their pursuit changed divine agenda.
Friend, in 2022, dare to pursue Jesus. Even when it feels like God is far away from you, keep seeking Him. Even when it seems that there is no result yet from your passionate pursuit of Jesus, keep chasing after Him. Keep praying even if it seems that none of your prayers have been answered.

Keep believing God even when it seems that you have no results yet. Keep chasing after the Lord even when you are yet to feel the impact of your pursuit.
Did you realize that the men who chased after Jesus did not know what He would do if they met Him; but when they finally got to where He was, compassion chased Him into turning their stories around. They kept chasing Him until Jesus Himself began to do what they never even asked Him to do. If you keep chasing after Jesus, you will soon get to a point where He would begin to do for you what you never asked Him to do.
As you keep chasing after Jesus, those expectations that may not have been put in prayer will attract divine attention. As you keep chasing after Jesus, the doors that have been shut at you will be opened to you. As you keep chasing after Jesus, the gates of nations will be opened to you. As you keep chasing after Jesus, your secret tears will make way for public celebrations. You will not be empty handed as you seek Jesus.

Don’t be counted amongst them that walk away when it seems the Master is nowhere to be seen. Keep chasing; keep pushing, and divine agenda will be altered in your favour.

Isaiah 62: 7 says: “And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth”

Declare With Me: Divine agenda will be adjusted in my favour as I seek Jesus, in Jesus’ name!
