“And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.” (Mark 5: 23)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Our Focal Scripture speaks of how Jairus besought Jesus on behalf of his little daughter who was at the point of death. The name Jairus means ‘Jehovah brings light’. Jairus’ name was synonymous with light, but darkness had taken center stage in his life and family. Jairus had an identity of light, but his reality was darkness. He faced a situation that wanted to mock the prophecy in his identity. He encountered a dark situation.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every situation mocking the prophecy over your life, making a mess of your confession and causing your prayers to look like a waste of time, I command it to terminate by fire. Every satanic reality that has arisen to make your walk with God look like a waste of time, I command it to end now. Every satanic manifestation of what the Lord did not promise you, I command it to be swallowed by the blood of Jesus.

Jairus had an identity of light, but darkness was his reality. He had an identity of good news, but his reality was bad news. Every power of hell that has come to make your life an advertisement of negativity, I command it to scatter by fire. Your reality will not mock your walk with God. Your prayers and your results will not be at opposite ends. You will not have an identity of one who is loved by God, and yet be all shades of affliction by the enemy.

Today, if there be any part of your life that has gone out of alignment with your prophecy, I command it to align again. I command your results to align with your prophecy. I command your rising to align with what God says about you. I command your new season to begin to look like what God says about you. I command every contradiction in your destiny to end right away. I command every negativity that mocks you to end now.

Your life will not be a contradiction of one who loves God and yet is afflicted by negativity. You will not experience a reversal of the word of the Lord over your life.

1 John 3: 8 says: “…For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”

Declare With Me: My life will not be an example of the works of the enemy, in Jesus’ name!
