Sometimes, as humans, we get stuck by life circumstances and conditions revolving around our personalities.
That a man is born blind is not the problem, the problem of any blind man is when he starts eating from his condition rather than looking for the solution on how to encounter light.
This reminds me of the lessons the Holy Spirit enlightened me on about the blind Bartimaeus.
Stay with me.
Mark 10:[46]
And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.
From the above Scripture, Blind Bartimaeus was helpless and had no choice but to beg for aims.
Subsequently, the next verse alighted his reactions when he heard Jesus was passing by.
[47]
And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
The scriptures said, “He cried out.” His reactions alone show he wasn’t comfortable with the conditions he found himself in.
Hence, Cried the more to get the attention of the “Healer” he desired to encounter.
The amazing part about Blind Bartimaeus was that; in spite, he was known as a beggar, when he got to Jesus; He didn’t beg for money but rather choose to SEE instead of money because he knew if he could see, it just a matter of time, money will chase him. What a wise choice!
Fortunately,
He got his healing on that same day after fighting those stopping him.
What a courageous man!
Dear reader,
Here comes the lessons from the story
There’s a great difference between problem and condition. Every problem has an expiry date.
Blind Bartimaeus was “desperate” enough to get himself out of the condition by FAITH.
Irrespective of the conditions you find yourself in, Never settle down for human pity, it will only lead to a permanent dependent on men.
God is always committed to solving the problem, He doesn’t want you to depend on “Human pity.”
Sometimes there are blessings in what you lost, always learn to turn your adversity to advantage.
Blind Bartimaeus lost his eyes but has a LISTENING EARS, to receive his healings.
USE WHAT YOU HAVE TO GET WHAT YOU NEED.
Identify what you’ve lost and what you have left, that’s where your solutions lie.
Shalom.
