“And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.” (Mark 5: 5)
That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional.
While the man with the unclean spirits was in the mountains and in the tombs, he kept cutting himself with stones, and he kept crying. He continued to create marks on his body at the instance of the demons that tormented him. He continued to create demonic marks on himself. He continued to do something that put a demonic signature on his life. He kept doing something that would attract more demons to himself. He kept opening the doors to what would eventually hurt his destiny.
Friend, I pray for you: may you not use your own hands to open the doors to what will hurt your destiny. May you not use your own hands to invite a demonic presence into your life. May you not use your own hands to attract negativity to yourself. May you not use your own hands to do things that will encourage the powers of hell to come closer to you. May you not use your own hands to hurt your destiny and your future. May you not be a messenger in your own pain and downfall.
That man already had unclean spirits in him, but he began to use his own hands to cut himself and make himself a candidate for more demonic action. He used his own hands to reinforce the negativity in his life. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not use your own hands to reinforce any negativity in your life. You will not use your own hands to make matters of your life worse than they currently are. You will not help the devil to reduce you.
If Jesus has redeemed you, then you are a joint heir with Christ. You were redeemed to have the mark of Christ, not the mark of demons. You were redeemed to reflect the glory of God, not to have the signature of the enemy on you. Today, I decree, you will not work against yourself. You will not help to reduce yourself. You will not help to mess up your own destiny. You will not sow bad seeds that will yield evil fruits for you.
If there be anything you do that has been helping to open the doors of your life to the enemy, now is the time to stop. The season of hurting yourself by your own hands, is over.
Numbers 23: 23 says: “Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!”
Declare With Me: I will not open the door to what will hurt my destiny, in Jesus’ name!
