I was listening to my Bible the other day and something piqued my imagination. It was an instruction God gave to Isaiah Amoz. It made me realise modern pastors have it easy.
Modern pastors use PowerPoint to illustrate their sermons. Sometimes they call people out of the audience to dramatise a sermon. It wasn’t like that in the days of Isaiah, the pastor was the dramatis personae.
God once told Isaiah to walk around in boxer shorts and no shoes. I’m not making it up. “God told Isaiah son of Amoz, “Go, take off your clothes and sandals,” and Isaiah did it, going about naked and barefooted.” (Isaiah 20:1-2 MSG) Think of any pastor you know… Pastor Sam Adeyemi, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, Bishop Feb Idahosa, Rev. Victor Adeyemi, Apostle Tony Rapu… Imagine God telling any of them to walk about for 3yrs in boxer shorts, no shoes. Now imagine that when you ask why, they respond it’s because God has a problem with Germany and Italy, that the US is gunning for them and God wants to show the bare buttocks of Germany during WWII.”
That was what God told Isaiah in essence. Read it up. What will be your reaction? Yaba Left?
